Oh, this was my very first time read Mary Higgins's book, and surprisingly I really am well-entertained. I got this book in the secondhand book store, found it under a pile of other books, lucky me!
Moonlight becomes you is about Maggie Holloway, a widow, 30's woman, but still atractive enough to make men interested with her. When she attended a party, coincidentally she met her stepmother, and she got invited to a dinner party at Nuala's house.
Apparently, when Maggie reached Nuala's house, she found Nuala lying under seat with blood covered her body. Police took conclusion that the one who did it was a random-thief, but they were wrong. Maggie made her self-investigation and found many awkwardness in this case. She still shocked for the murder of her step mother, but she still could collected clues, though. Unconsciously, her ivestigation made her become the next target of the murderer!
I think it is a good start for the entirely MHC's book to read, remembered that im a big fans of suspense, thriller, the kind Sidney Sheldon would bring me up and down, guessing along the story; who is the murderer. The story just like spider spinning web, one character related with another one, without knowing each other. And you cant stop guessing until you reach the end of the book.
Unfortunately, i have been wondering along the story but finally i cant figure the murderer out just before MHC did. Haha, i learn from many suspense book i've read before, that the one who looks have nothing to do with the case, and seems like she/he was clean and have no motive at all, that is the one the real killer. Well, im not spoiling here, reader. Im pretty sure you guys can guess it as well as i am.
Although it rather fun to read this story, but you can not throw away the scary twist, the creep, and you can imagine how it is like being buried alive, just like Maggie Holloway. Well, thats all i could tell you guys. As you know, this book is printed by pocket book in english, so i endeavor to write the summary in english too. Im sorry if my english is not really well..
