Now I am join In My Mailbox too!This weekly meme is hosted by The Story Siren. The main subject is the books you get in your mailbox. I don't mean literally in your mailbox, your books could come from anywhere, you bought it, borrowed it from library or your friend, or.. steal it. Hahahha..just kidding for the last thing. But, the point is, you could share what books you read this week so people know and (maybe) they will be interested to read or to buy the book.
Well, I am newbie here. But I'd like to try it out. So, here's my blog.
Actually, I got my books mostly at the flea market. 1) Because I do not have big budget for buying brand new books. My local publisher had major problems: expensive cost of production. That impacts on the price of books . It will be much cheaper if I buy it at the flea market.2) You will know how fun it was when you found something special in flea market. (This refers to the future in past tense) You'll know how much fun it is when you find something special at the flea markets yourself. Sometimes, you will find an interesting book wedged between pile of books and you will feel really excited about it.
1. Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
I always want to have a copy of this book. And, surprisingly, i got this book yesterday on flea market for free! Yes, I mean it. It was free because I bought a pile of books at once and the seller (who knew me well for a long time) give this book for free. I was very happy about it, although I get the international edition, not in Bahasa, but it was okay.
2. Radical Red by James Duffy
I had no idea why i picked up this book. I got it at flea market too, but at different place. Hardcover edition, and I was impressed by the cover. The girl stand in front of people, wearing an old granny outfits, it looks like She came from past age. I always love the classic story, maybe that was my reason to buy this book.
I am not really sure when I will start to read those book, but I am happy enough to know that they will be safe in my bookshelf. :)
